This policy explains how Nova Outdoor Living uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It sits alongside our Privacy & Cookie Policy and tells you what we set, why, and how to control it.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to tell the site's owner how it is being used. Similar technologies — such as browser localStorage and sessionStorage — work in much the same way and are covered by this policy.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we have to tell you what we use and, for anything that is not strictly necessary, ask your permission before we use it.
2. How we use cookies
We keep this deliberately minimal. We use a small amount of browser storage to make the site work and — only if you agree to it — Google Analytics, so we can see which pages and products people actually use and improve them.
We do not use cookies for advertising, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share what we collect for anyone else's marketing.
3. Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work — remembering the cookie choice you made here, and carrying your search text from the header across to the results page. These do not identify you and cannot be turned off.
- Performance & analytics. Google Analytics, which helps us see which pages are visited and how the site performs. Only used if you accept — if you do not, no analytics code is loaded at all.
We currently use no functional or marketing cookies. If that ever changes we will update this page and ask for your consent again before setting them — permission given for analytics does not extend to anything else.

5. Third-party cookies
The only third party that can set a cookie here is Google Analytics, and only once you have accepted analytics. We run no advertising tags, no social media widgets and no embedded video, so nothing else places a cookie on this site.
Two other services receive a request from your browser without setting cookies: our own image and map delivery (Amazon CloudFront), and postcodes.io, which we use to look up a postcode when you search on our stockists page. That lookup only happens when you type a search.
6. How long cookies last
Cookies are either session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device for a set period or until you delete them. The exact lifetime of everything we use is in the table above.
Your cookie choice itself is remembered for 12 months. After that we ask again, so that your consent stays current.
7. Managing your cookies
You can change your mind at any time — either here, or with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Turning analytics off stops it immediately and deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your device.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete them, or warn you before they are set. Blocking the strictly necessary storage above may stop parts of the site working properly. The Information Commissioner's Office and your browser's own help pages have step-by-step guidance.
8. Your consent
We set nothing beyond the strictly necessary storage above until you have actively accepted it. Continuing to browse, scrolling, or dismissing the banner is not treated as consent.
When you first arrive you can accept everything, reject everything that is not necessary, or choose per category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can withdraw your consent whenever you like using the controls above — there is no penalty for doing so.

10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in legal and regulatory requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows the most recent revision. If we start using a new category of cookie, we will ask for your consent again rather than relying on permission you gave for something else.
